Moss Green is the most distinctive neutral in the ILUMA Standard range a deep, muted green across the Holder and Pocket Charger, recognisable without being loud.

It’s the classic two-piece ILUMA device: slim pen-style Holder plus Pocket Charger, running Philip Morris International’s SMARTCORE Induction System with Autostart. No blade, no residue, no cleaning.

Buried in the specifications is a number that matters more in this country than almost anywhere else. ILUMA devices have a stated operating temperature range of roughly 0°C to 40°C.

Short term: the device may refuse to work

Lithium-ion devices commonly include thermal protection that blocks heating or charging when the cell is too hot. A device that won’t start after sitting in the sun usually isn’t broken: it’s protecting itself. Let it cool indoors and try again.

Long term: permanent capacity loss

This is the real cost. Repeated heat exposure permanently reduces how much charge the battery holds, and it doesn’t recover. A device that gave 20 sessions per charge starts giving fifteen, then twelve. Nothing about this is fixable after the fact.

The three habits that matter

Never leave it in a parked car. Don’t charge it while it’s still warm from outdoors: give it fifteen minutes inside first. And keep it out of direct sunlight on a table or dashboard, which heats a dark object faster than ambient air does.

Your sticks are affected first

If the device is somewhere too hot, so are any TEREA sticks with it: and menthol and aromatic compounds degrade well before the battery does. A pack that has been through a hot afternoon can look perfect and taste like almost nothing. Our storage guide covers this in detail.

How to Use It

Charge the Pocket Charger fully before first use: around 2 hours 15 minutes over USB-C.
Slide the Holder into the charger to top it up between sessions; a Holder charge takes roughly two minutes.
Insert a TEREA stick up to the line on the filter, without twisting.
Autostart begins heating automatically. Ready in around 15 seconds.
Draw for up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs. A vibration signals the end approaching.
Bin the used stick and return the Holder to the charger.

What Works With It

Every TEREA stick we carry: Japan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Armenia, and the UAE edition.

Not compatible with HEETS or blade-based IQOS models. Sticks are single-use, contain a sharp metal part, and should never be disassembled or left within reach of children.

Two consecutive sessions before the Holder returns to the Pocket Charger, then around 20 sessions in total before the charger needs plugging in.

Which sticks does it take?

TEREA sticks only, from any origin. HEETS and other non-SMARTCORE sticks won’t activate it.
