Almost every listing presents Autostart as a fixed benefit. It’s actually a setting, and there are real reasons some users switch it off.

How to Use It
- Charge the Pocket Charger fully before first use — around 2 hours 15 minutes over USB-C.
- Slide the Holder into the charger to top it up between sessions.
- Insert a TEREA stick up to the line on the filter, without twisting.
- Autostart begins heating. The Touch Screen shows preheating progress.
- Draw for up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, with FlexPuff possibly extending the count.
- Autostop ends the session if the stick is moved or removed.
Two shortcuts worth learning: lift the Holder during use to see how many uses remain, and double tap it for a vibration reading of how much of the session is left.

Care for a Dark Finish
A dry microfibre cloth handles fingerprints, which show more on dark surfaces than on lighter ones. In exchange, fine scratches from keys and coins are far less visible, so black usually looks the least worn after a year of pocket use.
Keep it out of parked cars. The stated operating range is roughly 0°C to 40°C, and heat causes permanent battery capacity loss. It also damages any TEREA sticks stored with it, as covered in our storage guide.

Not compatible with HEETS or blade-based IQOS models. Sticks are single-use, contain a sharp metal part, and should never be disassembled or left within reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I turn Autostart off?
Yes, through the IQOS app. It’s enabled by default, and with it disabled you press the button for one second to begin heating instead.
Why would anyone disable it?
Because Autostart can’t tell whether you’re loading a stick to smoke now or to smoke shortly. If heating regularly starts before you’re ready and you waste part of a session, turning it off separates insertion from starting.
Does turning off Autostart also disable Autostop?
No. Autostop stays active either way, ending the experience if the stick is moved or removed.
Does Midnight Black perform differently from the other colours?
No. All four ILUMA i colourways are identical devices with the same features and specifications.
How many consecutive uses does it give?
Up to 3 in Performance Mode when Pause Mode hasn’t been used, and around 20 sessions in total before the Pocket Charger needs plugging in.
Which sticks does it take?
TEREA sticks only, from any origin. HEETS won’t activate it.
