Description

Breeze Blue is the light metallic blue in the ILUMA i Standard range. It is the one people notice on a table without it feeling loud, sitting somewhere between the neutrality of Midnight Black and the statement of Digital Violet.

Internally it is the same device as every other colour: M0010 Holder, M0022 Pocket Charger, Touch Screen, Pause Mode, FlexPuff, FlexBattery.

The Breeze Blue Problem Nobody Warns You About

Breeze Blue is used as a colour name across three different IQOS devices at once. The ILUMA i ONE has a Breeze Blue. The ILUMA i PRIME has a Breeze Blue. And this one, the ILUMA i Standard, has a Breeze Blue. Three products, one colour name, similar photography.

At thumbnail size on a marketplace listing they look close enough that ordering the wrong one is easy, and the difference is not cosmetic. Here is how to check before you pay.

Count the pieces in the product photo. The i Standard and the i PRIME are two-piece systems, so a Holder and a Pocket Charger appear together. The i ONE is a single body with nothing beside it. If the picture shows one object, it is the i ONE and it has no Pocket Charger, no Touch Screen and no Pause Mode.

Look at the Pocket Charger surface. The i Standard charger is finished in the same treatment as its Holder, plain and uniform. The i PRIME charger uses a different exterior material with a visibly different texture. Once you have seen both, they do not look alike.

Check the model code if it is listed. The Pocket Charger on the i Standard is M0022. On the i PRIME it is M0021. The Holder is M0010 on both, which is exactly why the Holder alone cannot tell you which kit you are looking at.

Ignore the price as a guide. UAE pricing moves around enough between sellers that a discounted i PRIME and a full-price i Standard can land within a few dirhams of each other. Price is not a reliable signal here.

The tone itself is also worth setting expectations on. Breeze Blue photographs cooler and lighter than it looks in hand. Under the warm indoor lighting common in UAE homes and restaurants it reads as a soft grey-blue, closer to a pale steel than to the bright blue most product shots suggest. People who wanted a strong blue are sometimes surprised. People who wanted something understated usually are not.

One practical upside of the lighter finish: it absorbs less solar heat than Midnight Black, so if you tend to leave the device on a table outdoors, this one runs cooler. That does not make it safe to leave in the sun, but it buys you a margin the dark finish does not have.

☀ What Breeze Blue Actually Looks Like
Product photography captures the first of these three. Most people first see the second.
UAE daylight Warm indoor light Cool white light
Clean light metallic blue, closest to how it is photographed. Reads as a soft grey-blue, nearer pale steel than bright blue. Sits between the two, slightly cooler and flatter.

Swatches are an approximation for comparison, not a colour match. People who wanted a strong blue are sometimes surprised. People who wanted something understated usually are not.

What Comes in the Box

  • IQOS ILUMA i Holder in Breeze Blue
  • IQOS ILUMA i Pocket Charger in Breeze Blue
  • USB-C charging cable
  • Quick start guide and safety information

Note specific to this colour: Breeze Blue units are produced in smaller volumes than Midnight Black. If you plan to buy a matching wrap or sleeve later, buy it at the same time rather than assuming it will be in stock in three months.

How to Use It

  1. Charge the Pocket Charger completely before you start. About 135 minutes on USB-C.
  2. Press and hold the Pocket Charger button for four seconds. Status lights confirm it is on.
  3. Slot the Holder in. It charges without any further input.
  4. Insert a TEREA stick to the printed filter line, until it vibrates.
  5. Heating runs automatically, or swipe up on the Touch Screen to start it. Ready at the second vibration.
  6. Up to six minutes or fourteen puffs, with a vibration near the end.
  7. Remove and dispose of the used stick. Never reinsert one.

Compatibility

All five TEREA origins we carry work in this device: UAE, Japan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia and Armenia. See the whole TEREA range for flavour profiles.

Cross-charging within the ILUMA i family works regardless of colour, so a Breeze Blue Holder charges fine in any i Standard Pocket Charger.

HEETS are not compatible with any ILUMA device, including this one.

Storage and Care in UAE Conditions

The 60°C ceiling applies to every colour, but the light finish makes it easy to be careless. A pale device does not feel hot to look at, so people leave Breeze Blue on balconies and dashboards more readily than they leave black ones there. The internal battery does not care what colour the outside is.

Prolonged UV exposure affects light finishes visibly over long periods. Sustained direct sun across months will dull the blue before it damages anything electrical.

Dry cloth only for cleaning. Solvents can lift the finish on the lighter colours faster than on matte black, and the mark it leaves is permanent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same Breeze Blue as the ILUMA i PRIME?

The name matches and the tone is similar, but the finish treatment differs because the two devices use different exterior materials. They do not look identical side by side, and accessories are not interchangeable between them.

Will the blue fade in the sun?

Not from ordinary use. Fading requires sustained direct exposure over long periods, the kind you get from leaving a device on a sunlit windowsill for months. Normal carrying, and even regular outdoor use, will not touch it.

Does the lighter colour actually stay cooler?

Yes, marginally, because a pale surface reflects more solar radiation than a dark one. It is enough to notice if you pick it up off an outdoor table, not enough to make sun exposure safe. The 60°C limit still applies.

My Pause swipe is not registering. Is the screen faulty?

Almost always not. Pause requires the swipe to travel the entire length of the Touch Screen. A short swipe does nothing at all, with no error shown. Try again with a slower, full-length downward motion and dry fingers.

Can I buy the Breeze Blue Pocket Charger separately?

Availability varies. Black is stocked as a separate unit far more reliably. If the Pocket Charger is what you need replaced, be ready to either wait for the colour or accept a mismatched pair, which works perfectly well.

How do I know my FlexBattery is in Performance Mode?

Check the IQOS App. Performance Mode is the factory default, so unless you or someone else has changed it, that is what you are on. The Touch Screen showing two dashes after a full charge also indicates Performance, since Eco Mode holds only one use

Is Breeze Blue harder to resell than black?

Slightly. Black moves faster in the UAE second-hand market because more people bought it. Breeze Blue still sells, it just takes longer to find the buyer who specifically wanted that colour.
