The Lambda CC is the other half of the Lambda family, and the most important sentence about it comes first: this is a blade device, built for HEETS-format heatsticks, and it does not run TEREA.
Everything else we sell in the Lambda range, the i8, i9 and i10, heats by induction and runs TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS. The CC heats with a titanium steel alloy heating blade pushed into the tobacco, the way the IQOS 3 DUO generation did, and it exists for the sticks that generation was built around: HEETS, Marlboro HeatSticks, Parliament and Fiit.
Six colours are sold in the UAE: Army Green, Black, Gold, Grey, Red and White. Same device inside each. And the buyer it serves is specific and real: the person whose stick of choice is still a HEETS-format stick, who wants adjustable temperature and session time that no IQOS blade device ever offered, and who is tired of the one failure that defined blade ownership. More on that failure below, because the CC’s whole engineering story is an answer to it.
Why a Blade Device Still Exists
Induction is the newer technology, so a fair question is why anyone builds or buys a blade device in the TEREA era. The answer is the sticks.
HEETS-format heatsticks are still made, still sold and still preferred by a large group of users who switched to heat-not-burn years ago and have a flavour they are loyal to. Those sticks contain no metal induction element, which is why no induction device, not an ILUMA and not a Lambda i-series, can heat them at any setting. A blade generates its own heat and pushes it into the tobacco directly, so it works with the format those sticks were designed for.
The devices PMI built for that format, the IQOS 3 DUO and its siblings, are discontinued and ageing. Their owners face a choice: migrate stick formats to TEREA and buy an induction device, or stay with their sticks and find modern blade hardware. The CC is the second answer, and it is a better blade device than the ones it replaces in three specific ways.
The blade is titanium steel alloy, and it is replaceable. Anyone who owned an IQOS 3 DUO knows the failure that ended most of them: a snapped blade, usually during cleaning or from a twisted stick, with no repair path because the blade was not a serviceable part. The CC answers this twice. The titanium steel alloy blade is far harder to break than the ceramic-coated blades of that era, and if the worst happens anyway, the blade is a replaceable part rather than the end of the device.
The magnetic cap solves the torn stick. Blade devices tear sticks on removal; every 3 DUO owner has pulled a filter out and left the tobacco plug behind. The CC’s embedded magnetic cap comes off cleanly, letting you lift the spent heatstick straight up and out with the tobacco intact. It is a small piece of engineering aimed at the single most irritating moment of blade ownership.
Auto cleaning plus a large heating space. Blade heating leaves residue on the blade, which is why the old maintenance routine existed. The CC runs an auto-cleaning function that burns residue off the blade, and its heating space is sized so buildup accumulates more slowly and brushes out more easily. A brush still ships in the box, and the routine still exists, but it is lighter than what the 3 DUO demanded.
Around those three answers sits the modern Lambda platform: OLED HD display, working temperature adjustable from 200 to 300°C, session time adjustable from 3 to 6 minutes, a 3200 mAh battery rated at 35 to 40 heatsticks per charge, and USB Type-C charging. No IQOS blade device ever let you set the temperature. This one does.

At 73 grams the CC is the lightest device in the Lambda family, lighter than the 80 gram leather i10 and the 83 gram aluminium i8 and i9, which surprises people who expect the blade device to be the heavy one.
The Compatibility Line, Drawn Both Ways
Every induction page on this site says the same thing: HEETS do not work in induction devices. This page is where the line runs the other way, and it is just as firm.
TEREA does not belong in the CC. TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS are built around an internal metal element for induction to act on, and their construction assumes no blade will ever enter them. Pushing a blade into a TEREA stick is bad for the stick and bad for the blade, and the session it produces is wrong even when it produces one. If your sticks are TEREA, your devices are the i8, i9, i10 or an IQOS ILUMA i, and the CC is not on your list.
What does belong: HEETS in every variant, Marlboro HeatSticks, Parliament heatsticks, Fiit, and other sticks built to the blade format.
One honest note for HEETS users thinking about the future. PMI’s direction of travel is TEREA, and HEETS availability varies by market and year. How to Use It
- Charge fully before first use, roughly 2.5 hours over USB Type-C.
- Power on and check the OLED display for battery level.
- Set the working temperature between 200 and 300°C using the adjustment buttons.
- Set the session time between 3 and 6 minutes.
- Remove the magnetic cap, insert a HEETS-format heatstick, and refit the cap.
- Start heating and wait for the ready indication on the display.
- Use for the session length you set. The device ends the session automatically.
- Lift the magnetic cap off and remove the spent heatstick straight up, without twisting.
Run the auto-cleaning function periodically per the manual, and brush around the blade occasionally, always with the device cool and always brushing rather than scraping.

Storage and Care in the UAE
The battery rules are universal: never above 60°C, never in a parked car in summer, out of prolonged direct sun.
The blade adds its own rules, and they matter more here than anything on the induction pages. The blade is the component that decides this device’s lifespan. Never twist a stick, in or out; the magnetic cap exists so you never have to. Never scrape the blade with anything metal.
